VIENNA, VA — The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation will have more toys to give to children in need thanks to Navy Federal Credit Union.

Navy Federal Credit Union, which is headquartered in Vienna, made a record-breaking donation to Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. More than 23,000 new, unwrapped toys were donated to Toys for Tots at Navy Federal branch locations. The toys will go to families in need this holiday season.

"Finding a present under the tree on Christmas morning is an experience every child deserves," said retired Marine Col. Ted Silvester, the vice president of the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation. "Navy Federal Credit Union has certainly done more than its fair share to help us bring that joy to children whose families have suffered so much. This has been an especially difficult year to raise funds and toy donations, so Navy Federal Credit Union’s effort in support of the Marine Toys for Tots program nationwide will allow us to fulfill the holiday dreams of thousands of more children."

"Our branches are at the core of this campaign, and we had a record-breaking year of engagement with more than 330 branches worldwide collecting toys," said retired U.S. Navy Capt. Keith Hoskins, the executive vice president of branch operations at Navy Federal. "Our team members embody our core value of championing communities where we serve, which has amplified our successful partnership with the Marine Toys for Tots Foundation."

The Marine Corps Reserve's Toys for Tots has a goal of helping less fortunate families receive gifts during the holiday season. The campaign has grown significantly since its 1947 founding, bringing presents to millions of children in need. In the Quantico Toys for Tots Campaign serving Northern Virginia, 131,359 toys for 107,624 children were provided in 2023.

Along with helping Toys for Tots, Navy Federal Credit Union's staff in Vienna, Winchester, San Diego and Pensacola, Florida helped over 250 families identified by school districts and nonprofits with wish lists through the Project Neighbors Program.
