Road Rage Incident Leads to Fight Between 2 Women in Vienna: Police

Also in this week's report, a 19-year old is arrested after breaking residents' windows, jumping fences and running through yards.

VIENNA, VA -- Two women got into some sort of a fight related to a road rage incident recently in a Vienna neighborhood, according to Town of Vienna Police.

Vienna Police were called on Thursday, Sept. 15 at 5:37 p.m. to the 600 block of Kingsley Road SW in Vienna about the incident. An officer spoke with the two women involved and determined an assault occurred, but the assault didn't occur in the officers’ presence, and there weren't any independent witnesses, police said.

One of the subjects obtained a warrant for an assault. A 47-year old woman from Foxvale Drive, Oakton was charged with assault. She was served the warrant and released on her signature, police said.

INCIDENTS

Domestic Dispute 16-007912 Navy Federal Credit Union 820 Follin Lane, SE September 15 2:59 p.m. Officers responded to the listed business for a domestic dispute between a male and female subject. When officers arrived the male subject had left the area. Nothing physical took place. The female subject was provided with domestic services.

Grand Larceny 16-007950 Brook Rental Center 321 Mill Street, NE Between June 15 at 12:36 p.m. and September 16 at 11:52 a.m. An employee of the listed business called to report a female subject rented equipment from the store and never returned it. MPO Lose made contact with the female subject who agreed to return the equipment. After a period of time half of the equipment was returned, but the other half was not. MPO Lose obtained a felony warrant for the female subject.

Trespassing 16-007958 Fresh Market 150 Branch Road, SE September 16 2:44 p.m. The manager of the listed business called to report a male subject sleeping in front of the store. When officers arrived they spoke with the male subject who told them he was just sitting charging his cell phone. The store manager stated he asked the male subject to leave several times. The male subject was trespassed from the business by the store manager in the officers’ presence.

Suspicious Event 16-007964 600 Block Ware Street, SW September 16 8:45 p.m. A resident called to report someone was trying to steal their lawn lights. Ofc. Bulti spoke with the homeowner and determined the lights were more than likely disturbed by animals.

Property Lost 16-007966 400 Block Maple Avenue, West September 16 10:39 p.m. A male subject reported he lost his wallet somewhere in the listed area.

Arrest – Narcotics Violation 16-007968 Nutley Street and Maple Avenue, West September 16 11:59 p.m. MPO Smith was patrolling the listed area when he observed a vehicle with an equipment violation. He conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and as he spoke to the driver an odor of suspected marijuana could be smelled coming from within the vehicle. MPO Smith asked the driver about the odor and they handed over a measureable amount of suspected marijuana. The 28 year old male driver from Nutley Street, NW was issued a summons for possession of marijuana. He was released on his signature.

Arrest – Driving While Intoxicated 16-007973 Lawyers Road, NW and Kedge Drive September 17 2:44 a.m. SGT Tracy was patrolling the listed area when he observed a vehicle make several traffic infractions. He conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and during his interaction with the driver he detected signs of possible impairment. The driver of vehicle was offered field sobriety tests, which they failed. The driver was placed in to handcuffs and transported to the Vienna Police Department for an official breath test, which the driver agreed to take. The 21 year old male driver from Park Glen Court, Reston was arrested for driving while intoxicated. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on an unsecured bond.

Arrest – Narcotics Violation 16-008004 Follin Lane and Hine Street, SE September 18 12:44 a.m. SGT Tracy was patrolling the listed area when he observed a vehicle with defective equipment. He conducted a traffic stop with the vehicle and while interacting with the driver could smell an odor of alcoholic beverage coming from within the vehicle. The vehicle was occupied by 5 subjects all less than 21 years of age, who admitted to being at a party. The driver of the vehicle admitted to alcoholic beverages being in the vehicle. While searching the vehicle for alcoholic beverages, a measureable amount of suspected marijuana was found. The 19 year old male driver from Salem Road, Falls Church was issued a summons for possession of marijuana and possession of alcoholic beverages underage. He was released on his signature. Three of the occupants a 19 year old male from Blackeyed Susan Lane, Vienna, a 19 year old male from Hollis Lane, Vienna and a 19 year old male from Blevins Way Court, Vienna were issued summonses for possession of alcoholic beverages underage and release on their signatures. The last occupant, a female subject, was identified by the other occupants as not consuming alcoholic beverages or being in possession of them.

Arrest – Destruction of Property 16-008006 1300 Block Ross Drive, SW September 18 3:48 a.m. A resident called to report a male subject acting suspicious, jumping fences and running through yards. While going to the listed area, Ofc. Bulti observed a male subject matching a description given by the resident walking down the middle of Cottage Street, SW. Ofc. Bulti stopped and spoke with the male subject and observed signs of possible impairment. Additional officers went to the listed area and found two windows had been destroyed at a residence and a witness observed the male subject, Ofc. Bulti stopped, as the subject who broke the windows. The 19 year old male subject from Cottage Street, SW was arrested for destruction of property and drunk in public. He was transported to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center and held on a secure bond.

Juvenile 16-008026 Cunningham Park Elementary 1001 Part Street, SE September 19 1:10 p.m. A school administrator contacted Vienna Police Department in regards to a juvenile student making a statement about hurting teachers. Ofc. Sterling met with the school administrator and juvenile subject. It was determined by Ofc. Sterling the juvenile needed mental health services and assisted in transporting the juvenile to the Merrifield Center.

Stolen Vehicle Recovery 16-008027 300 Block Mill Street, NE September 19 1:32 p.m. Richmond Police Department requested an officer check the listed area for a stolen vehicle. When MPO Vazquez arrived he found the vehicle and the vehicle owner. The owner stated they found their vehicle and reported it to Richmond Police Department. MPO Vazquez determined the vehicle was the vehicle reported stolen and the subject was the owner of the vehicle. The owner left the area with their vehicle.

Property Found 16-008041 Southside Park 1317 Ross Drive, SW September 20 7:50 a.m. A citizen reported a found bike at the listed park. The bike is a sliver and blue Gary Fisher Mountain Bike.

Animal Case 16-008043 Veterinary Surgical Center 124 Park Street, SE September 20 8:07 a.m. ACO Barker was informed by the listed veterinary facility they had a male subject bitten on the hand during a medical procedure. The dog lives in Stafford County and the information was passed on to their chief animal control officer

Fraud 16-008067 Brentwood Court, NW September 20 7:43 p.m. A resident called to report someone attempted to open a credit card account in their name.

Suspicious Event 16-008073 Park Street and Adahi Road, SE September 21 7:41 a.m. A citizen reported some unusual driving behavior in the listed area. The citizen stated the driver of the vehicle and an occupant passed her and yelled a profanity.

Petit Larceny 16-008077 600 Block Glyndon Street, SE Between September 20 at 11:15 a.m. and September 20 at 2:00 p.m. A resident called to report they had US currency stolen from their residence by a known person.

Assist Fire & EMS 16-0008082 500 Block Maple Avenue, West September 21 12:29 p.m. Officers responded to the listed area for a male subject acting disorderly. When officers arrived they found a male subject who appeared disoriented and not listening to the officers. The officers were able to determine the male subject was staying nearby and may be suffering from a medical emergency. Fairfax County EMS responded and transported the male subject to the hospital in a non-life threatening condition.

Animal Case 16-008091 700 Block Courthouse Road, SW September 21 9:48 p.m. A citizen reported they were bit by a dog on their hand and forearm. The male subject stated he was trying to get in between his dog and another that began fighting. In doing so he was bit by the other dog. He said the dog and owner left the area before providing their contact information.
