Summer On The Green, Kids On The Green Shows To Return For Summer Season

VIENNA, VA — Vienna residents only need to head to the Town Green to enjoy free entertainment throughout the summer.

From June to mid-August, Summer on the Green concerts will fill the air with music. Performers represent a variety of musical genres. Shows start around 6:30 p.m. on select Fridays and run about one and a half hours. Some shows will be held amid the town's Chillin' on Church block parties on June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19.

Attendees can bring a lawn chair or blanket to watch the shows. Alcohol and pets should be left at home, according to the town. The shows are being sponsored by the Rotary Club of Vienna.

• June 8: Vienna Community Band – Concert band
• June 11: Vienna Moms Inc. Presents Rocknoceros – Kids music
• June 13: The Ashcats - Blues
• June 20: Chillin' on Church
• June 27: The Coozies- Country/Rock
• July 11: Crooked Sparrow - Americana Roots/Latin
• July 18: Chillin' on Church
• July 25: US Army Band Country Roads
• Aug. 1: Fat Chance - Rock
• Aug. 8: US Army Band Swamp Romp- Jazz
• Aug. 15: Chillin' on Church
• Aug. 22: US Navy Band Commadores - Jazz
• Sept. 19: Chillin' on Church

To keep the kids entertained, head to the Freeman Store and Museum patio every Tuesday at 10 a.m. in June, July and August for the Kids on the Green series. The free event features entertainment for kids of all ages, such as magicians, storytellers and musicians. Attendees can bring a blanket or lawn chair to view the show.

The Kids on the Green Series is presented by the Town of Vienna in partnership with the Rotary Club of Vienna and Vienna Presbyterian Church.
