Town Cleanup Day Saturday: Volunteers Needed

Help with spring cleaning Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon. Here are all the details and how to sign up or who to call for more information.

VIENNA, VA -- Families, school groups, scouts, and other community organizations are invited to help the Town of Vienna put on its spiffiest spring look by volunteering for Town Cleanup Day Saturday, April 16, according to a Town of Vienna news release. Volunteers may clean up their own neighborhoods or take on an assignment for an area of Town that needs attention.

Cleanup Day begins at 9 a.m. with volunteers meeting at the Town Green, 144 Maple Avenue E, for assignments. Cleanup wraps up by about noon.

“This is a great way for individuals and groups to make a difference in our community,” says Parks Maintenance Manager John King. “And like all big jobs, it’s a little bit easier and surprisingly fun when you tackle the task with others.”
