VIENNA, VA — A flood-prone intersection was hit with flooding during Monday's storms, and one report indicated that two vehicles got stuck.

The Old Courthouse Road and Besley Road intersection is known to flood during significant rainfall, given its location along the Wolftrap Creek. On Monday, severe storms brought heavy rainfall to the region.

According to WUSA9, two vehicle drivers drove into the floodwaters but were able to escape. The television outlet noted that a project is in the works to improve the intersection, including a new bridge to combat the flooding issue.
