Vienna General Election Early Voting To Open: What To Know
Vienna Town Council and mayor, a Virginia House seat, governor and more are on the ballot for the Nov. 4 general election.

VIENNA, VA — Vienna voters will have Vienna Town Council, mayor, Virginia House of Delegates, Virginia governor and other key races on the ballot on Nov. 4, 2025.
All Town of voters will have mayor and the six other Vienna Town Council seats on the ballot, as well as governor, lieutenant governor and attorney general, and Virginia House of Delegates 12th District. It also includes a Fairfax County bond questions on public school projects.
Early voting will open on Friday, Sept. 19 and continue through Saturday, Nov. 1. On Election Day (Tuesday, Nov. 4), polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

What's On the Ballot
Voters should refer to the Fairfax County Office of Elections for the sample ballots in their precinct. To check your district and assigned precinct, use the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal.
There are seven candidates for six Vienna Town Council seats — incumbents Sandra Allen, Church Anderson, Roy Baldwin, Jessica Ramakis and Howard Springsteen as well as newcomers Doug Francis and Dan Nash. Councilmember Ray Brill is not seeking re-election. Vienna Mayor Linda Colbert is unopposed in her re-election bid.

How to Vote Early
In-person early voting will run from Sept. 19 through Nov. 1. An accepted form of ID is required to vote in person in Virginia.
Early voting in Fairfax County will take place at three locations:
- Fairfax County Government Center, 12000 Government Center Parkway., Conference Rooms 2/3, Fairfax, 22035. Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays (Sept. 20, Oct. 25, Nov. 1), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays (Oct. 26): 1 to 5 p.m. Polls will also be open Monday, Oct. 13, (Columbus Day), from 1 to 7 p.m.
- Mount Vernon Governmental Center, 2511 Parkers Lane, Alexandria, 22306. Hours: Monday-Friday: 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturdays (Sept. 20, Oct. 25, Nov. 1), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays (Oct. 26): 1 to 5 p.m. Polls will also be open Monday, Oct. 13, (Columbus Day), from 1 to 7 p.m.
- North County Governmental Center, 1801 Cameron Glen Drive, Reston, 20190. Hours: Monday-Friday: 1 to 7 p.m.; Saturdays (Sept. 20, Oct. 25, Nov. 1), 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sundays (Oct. 26): 1 to 5 p.m. Polls will also be open Monday, Oct. 13, (Columbus Day), from 1 to 7 p.m.

Hours for the 13 additional early voting sites will be Monday-Friday: 1-7 p.m.; Saturdays (Sept. 20, Oct. 25, Nov. 1), 9 a.m.-5 p.m.; and Sundays (Oct. 26): 1-5 p.m. Voters can cast ballots at any of the 16 early voting sites.
To vote by mail, voters can apply through the Virginia Department of Election website with information like their Virginia Driver’s License or DMV-issued ID card, Social Security number, date of birth, address and contact information. A paper application is also available. The deadline to request a mail-in ballot is 5 p.m. on Oct. 24.
Completed mail-in ballots can be turned in at drop boxes at any Fairfax County early voting location, when they are open, and from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. at any polling place on Election Day. The deadline for returning a ballot by drop box is 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. Completed ballots returned by mail must be received by noon on Nov. 7.
How to Vote on Election Day
The deadline for voter registration or updating your information is Oct. 24. However, same-day registration is available in Virginia beyond the registration deadline, allowing voters to cast a provisional ballot. Check your registration status or register to vote through the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal. Voters may also register in person or by mail with the Fairfax County Office of Elections.
To vote on Election Day, head to your assigned polling place between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 4. Use the Virginia Department of Elections citizen portal to find your polling place. An acceptable form of ID is required to vote in person.
The Fairfax County Office of Elections says people with disabilities or mobility issues can vote curbside. Voters can look for the accessible parking area with a phone number to call at the polling place, and an election worker will assist.
