Vienna Halloween Parade Theme Revealed, Participant Applications Open

VIENNA, VA — Maple Avenue will transform into Broadway for the next Vienna Halloween Parade. Applications are open for the Wednesday, Oct. 29 parade at 7 p.m. along Maple Avenue.

The Town of Vienna says the 2025 parade theme is "Broadway on Maple." The theme is sure to bring floats and marching units celebrating their favorite Broadway musicals or plays. Carnegie Diner & Cafe will serve as the title sponsor, along with Navy Federal Credit Union as premium sponsor.

Businesses, organizations or officials with floats or cars need to apply to participate in the parade. Parade applications are open through Sept. 19. The town says parade units are chosen based on "space availability as well as entertainment value, variety and adherence to the theme and parade guidelines."

Children and other individuals in costume do not need to apply to march in the parade. They only need to show up at 6 p.m. on parade day at the United Bank, 374 Maple Ave. E in Vienna. Children can also receive free goodie bags starting at 7:15 p.m. at the Caffi Field Pitching Lanes (Cherry Street SE between the Vienna Community Center and the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department).

The Vienna Halloween Parade has been a tradition since 1946, drawing parade units and spectators to Maple Avenue on the Wednesday before Halloween. The parade route runs along Maple Avenue between Branch Road and Center Street. Patch will provide a preview of the parade closer to the event.
