Vienna Man Charged in Armed Robbery

An 18-year-old is accused of taking cash Sunday from a store on Lee Highway.

A Vienna man is facing charges after allegedly using a handgun to take cash from a business on Lee Highway, Fairfax County police say.

At 5:30 p.m. Sunday, a 41-year-old store clerk told police someone entered his business brandishing a handgun and demanding money.

The man allegedly took cash and fled the scene.

Fairfax County police responded to the business in the 8000 block of Lee Highway and searched the area. Ultimately, they located a suspect.

Police arrested Mohammed Minni, 18, of Vienna, and charged him with robbery and the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.

He will appear at a hearing for both charges at 9:30 a.m. April 8 in Fairfax County General District Court.
