Fairfax County Police have charged a Vienna man with child abuse in the death of his two-month-old daughter. Officers responded to a report of CPR in progress on the girl around 4 p.m. Saturday in the 7500 block of Parkwood Court in the Falls Church. Fairfax County EMS transported the girl to a local hospital. On Monday, police arrested her father, Francis Reed, 21, of Vienna, charging him with child abuse before taking him into custody. Hours later, the two-month-old, Amber Reed, died. It's unclear where the infant resided. The death is the 10th in Fairfax County this year.
