Vienna Native Plant Sale Coincides With Farmers Market Opening
Vienna residents can browse a wide selection of native plants amid other offerings at the reopened farmers market.

VIENNA, VA — It's a good weekend to stock up on local products for your home and garden as the Town of Vienna Spring Native Plant Sale coincides with the Vienna Farmers Market opening Saturday.
The Spring Native Plant Sale, hosted by the town's Conservation and Sustainability Commission, will be held from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Vienna Community Center. It's also the first weekend of the Vienna Farmers Market, which runs Saturdays from 8 a.m. to noon in the Vienna Community Center parking lot.
The plant sale will be located on the Caffi Softball Fields side of the community center. A variety of native plants will be available for sale. The plants are grown by Hill House Farm & Nursery, which specializes in native plants. Flowering perennials, native shrubs and small trees that attract birds, bees or and butterflies will be in the mix.

The sale will include a free drawing for a rain barrel and compost bin as well as information booths from Northern Virginia Soil and Water Conservation, Native Vienna, Audubon at Home and more. Residents may bring used plastic pots that will be donated to Lucy's Charity Plant Sale
While browsing the plant sale, residents will find locally-made products at the Vienna Farmers Market hosted by the Optimist Club of Greater Vienna. Vendor fees for the farmers market go to the Optimist Club of Greater Vienna's work to support youth causes.
