Vienna Resident Cracks Forbes' 400 Richest People in America in 2015
Daniel D'Aniello, a co-founder of the Carlyle Group, cracked the list along with McLean resident and fellow co-founder William Conway Jr.

The 2015 Forbes’ 400 Richest People in America list posted its highest baseline ever at $1.7 billion, but that didn’t keep three Northern Virginians, including a Vienna resident, from cracking the list.
Daniel D’Aniello, of Vienna, chairman and co-founder of the Carlyle Group, made the list at No. 256 with a net worth of $2.6 billion. He placed 190th on the 2014 list.
The Carlyle Group, a renowned global alternative asset manager, possesses approximately $193 billion in assets, according to its website and the Forbes list.

Fellow Carlyle Group co-founder William Conway Jr., a McLean resident, also made the list, tying his partner D’Aniello at No. 256 with a worth of $2.6 billion.
In all, four Virginians made the list. The wealthiest of the four is Jacqueline Mars, heir to the Mars candy company, who placed 18th with a net worth of $23.4 billion. She currently resides in The Plains, Va.

Winnie Johnson-Marquart, of Virginia Beach, heir to the SC Johnson family fortune, came in at No. 203 with a net worth of $3.2 billion.
