Vienna Station to Host Open House
Volunteer station joins county, nation in celebrating Fire Prevention Week

Fairfax County stations will host open houses this weekend, part of a nationwide effort to promote Fire Prevention Week.
The Vienna Volunteer Fire Department will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, promoting this year's theme of "Have Two Ways Out!", which encourages families to have two escape plans in case of fire.
Each station will have displays and activities to promote fire safety. The Vienna station will have live fire demonstrations and a child fingerprinting station. The firefighters will also give gear demonstrations every hour. The new canteen, bike team trailer and all the regular equipment will be out for display, said John Morrison, Fire Chief at the Vienna station.
