VIENNA, VA — Will Vienna claim a three-peat in the Mayor's Fitness Challenge, a friendly competition to be named the fittest community? The competition from March 16 to May 11 invites residents from the Town of Vienna, City of Fairfax and City of Falls Church to participate.

The Mayors Fitness Challenge started in spring 2021 to encourage people to get out and exercise after COVID-19 pandemic isolation in 2020. The City of Falls Church won the first competition, and Vienna won the past two years.

In Vienna, residents and businesses within town limits as well as town employees can participate. Participants will record their physical exercise minutes daily or weekly over eight weeks. Any type of exercise counts toward the competition, including walking, biking, yoga, playing in the park and more.
