Fundraising To Save Fire Engine Launched By Vienna Volunteer Fire Department
Fundraising is underway to help restore the broken 1946 fire engine before the Santa Run season.

VIENNA, VA — Before the Santa Run season, the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department is seeking community help to save its antique fire engine.
The volunteer fire department reported that its 1946 Maxim Fire Engine is broken and faces high costs of parts due to the vehicle's age. A fundraising campaign for $50,000 was launched to support repairs.
The fire engine makes visits around Vienna during the holiday season for its Santa Runs, as well as other appearances at community events.

"Every year the VVFD drives Santa around on the Maxim while our volunteers step in as elves to hand out candy canes," the Vienna Volunteer Fire Department shared on Facebook. "This year without his special fire department sleigh, Santa Runs may not be able to make it around town. Please help us raise money to make sure this cherished Vienna tradition continues on!"
Residents can contribute to the fundraising campaign or purchase "Save Santa's Sleigh" attire.
