Vienna's Chillin' On Church Cancelled, Leaving 1 More Event In 2025
The next Chillin' on Church block party will bring neighbors together and close sections of streets for pedestrian use.

UPDATE: Due to the weather, Chillin' on Church has been cancelled on Friday, Aug. 15. The final event of 2025 will be Friday, Sept. 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
VIENNA, VA — Vienna residents will head to Church Street for the next Chillin' on Church block party with food, drinks and conversation with neighbors. The next event is scheduled on Friday, Aug. 15, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the Vienna Town Green.
Chillin' on Church is a block party series held on third Fridays between June and September. July's event will take place on Friday, July 18, from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Attendees can expect food, local beer and wine, live music and family-friendly activities. Sections of Church and Mill Streets are typically closed to traffic for pedestrian use during the event. Pets and smoking are not permitted at the event.

Each Chillin' on Church event features up to a dozen food trucks with savory and sweet options. Food trucks for the Aug. 15 event include Capital Chicken and Waffles, Happy Family Ranch (burgers and tacos), ML Foods (gyros and rice platters, Ned's New England Deck (seafood), New Gourmet Delight (Asian fusion/Vietnamese), Pizza Boli's, Two Smooth Dudes (tator tots, wraps and smoothies), Frothy Mug (drinks and desserts), Smoothie King, Sweet Frog (frozen yogurt) and Kona Ice (shaved ice).
Craft and domestic beers and wines will be sold on site. Adults 21 and over must visit the ID tent with identification and get a wristband to purchase alcohol. Visit the ticket tent to buy a $7 ticket, which gets one beer or wine. Attendees are asked to leave their own beer and wine at home.

Live music is provided courtesy of the town's ongoing Summer on the Green series Fridays on the Town Green. The Aug. 15 performer is Ocho De Bastos.
Public parking is available near the event, but attendees should be aware of Church and Mill Street closures near the Town Green. Accessible parking is provided at the Town Green/W&OD Trail parking area between Church Street NE, and Maple Avenue E.
