Vienna's First Capital Bikeshare Stations Approved By Town Council
Bikesharing stations will be installed at locations in Vienna with approval from the Town Council.

VIENNA, VA — The DC region's bikesharing system will soon expand to the Town of Vienna.
On Monday, Vienna Town Council approved the town's first Capital Bikeshare stations. The stations will include Navy Federal Credit Union, the Vienna Community Center, the intersection of the W&OD trail and Ayr Hill Avenue, and the intersection of Maple Avenue and Nutley Street.
Town staff will work with Capital Bikeshare to construct the new stations. Work is expected to begin in fall 2025, and the locations will be installed in early 2026.

"We’re excited to put Vienna on the bike sharing map," said Town of Vienna transportation engineer, Andrew Jinks, in a statement. "Adding these stations to an already expansive network that’s 800 stations and 8,000 bicycles strong, means that residents and community members will have a new sustainable and convenient way to get around town."
The town government says the new stations will close a gap in connectivity between the City of Fairfax, Tysons and Metro's Orange and Silver Line stations. Capital Bikeshare is already present at locations around the region, including Tysons, Reston, Merrifield and the Franconia-Springfield area in Fairfax County and Fairfax City. Fairfax County government will manage the Town of Vienna bicycle and station operations and maintenance as part of a contract with Capital Bikeshare manager Lyft.
