Wag N’ Wash Plans Grand Opening Of Vienna Location With Freebies, Activities

VIENNA, VA — Wag N’ Wash, new business in town catering to our four-legged friends, will make a splash with its grand opening weekend.

Wag N’ Wash opened in the former Loyal Companion space at 144 Maple Ave. W in Vienna as well as a former Loyal Companion space at 2501 N Harrison St. in Arlington. Grand openings for both stores will happen during the weekend of Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.

"We are thrilled to be celebrating the grand opening of our Arlington and Vienna stores that will provide high-quality products and hygiene care for dogs throughout the D.C area and its surrounding communities," said Wag N’ Wash CEO Chris Rowland in a statement. "We understand how important it is to have a local dog shop in the community, which is why Wag N’ Wash acquired these two locations, formerly Loyal Companion pet stores, keeping the same knowledgeable staff from the previous shops and enhancing management."

Wag N’ Wash is a pet store specializing in all things canine, from a full-service grooming salon and self-serve dog wash stations to retail with dog food, treats, toys and other products. At the dog wash stations, an attendant provides pet owners with an apron, shampoo, conditioner, brushes and cologne spray. The grooming salon offers grooming services nail trims, ear cleanings and more. The business began renovating the former Loyal Companion locations last February.

"Wag N’ Wash is not your typical dog product store, it’s a destination that offers specific services and products catered to the well-being of dogs and we cannot be any prouder to gain a foothold through our brand’s first-time entrance into Virginia," said Rowland.

Grand opening festivities will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony from 9 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. on May 18, free scratch card offers, free goodie bags for the first 100 customers, free photo station, children's coloring contest, children's face painting starting at 10 a .m. and Vienna Police visit from 1 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. On May 19, the first 100 customers will get a free small bag of dog food. Free dog treat bars, cutest pet contest and children's face painting starting at 11 a.m. are planned as well on May 19.

On May 18 and 19, customers can receive free dog washes and $5 for every $50 spent. A dog pool and local rescue Hunter Mill Retrievers will be on site from 2 p.m .to 5 p.m.

Customers can enter Wag N’ Wash's grand opening raffles with a chance to win a $250, $100 or $50 gift card.

The Wag N’ Wash Vienna location is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Saturday and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday.
