Virginia Beach woman who just gave birth goes missing after leaving note (scallywagandvagabond.com) — Police and family in Virginia Beach are urgently searching for 29-year-old new mother Taylor Conard, who left her Parkside Green home near Holland Road around 2 a.m. Monday without belongings or her baby and is considered an endangered missing person. Her fiancé believes she may be experiencing severe postpartum mental health issues and is organizing community search efforts, while VBPD asks anyone with information to call their missing persons detectives or non-emergency line.
   

2. Virginia Beach City Public Schools is making free, unlimited teletherapy a reality for some students (whro.org) — Middle and high schoolers in Virginia Beach City Public Schools now have access to free, unlimited teletherapy through a new partnership with provider Uwill, funded by a state grant. Students can schedule same-day virtual sessions after hours, on weekends, and during breaks, giving about 35,000 local teens another layer of mental-health support alongside existing in-school services.
   

3. Virginia Beach introduces $50 annual parking vouchers for residents (wavy.com) — Starting in 2026, Virginia Beach residents will be able to buy $50 annual parking vouchers—plus a discounted reload—for use at Oceanfront garages, lots, and meters in the Resort Area. The city council-approved program aims to make beach visits more affordable, with digital registration and launch expected by April 1, 2026.
   

4. Mount Trashmore Menorah Lighting: A festive Hanukkah celebration for all (wavy.com) — A massive Hanukkah celebration is coming to Mount Trashmore in Virginia Beach this Sunday, featuring a 30-foot menorah, music, food, kids’ rides, and a 50-foot gelt drop. Hosted by Chabad of Tidewater, the free event welcomes the entire community and highlights Hanukkah’s message of light and freedom, with an additional menorah car parade planned later in the week.
   

5. Clipse Drops Video for 'P.O.V.' With Tyler, The Creator (okayplayer.com) — Fans in Virginia Beach can catch Clipse live at The Dome on December 26 and 27, as part of their year-end tour. The duo just dropped a new video for “P.O.V.” with Tyler, The Creator, from their Grammy-nominated album, giving locals fresh music to dive into before the shows hit town.
