  1. Three Winchester-area women plead guilty to charges of an attempted hotel robbery. While the women were originally charged with felony attempted robbery by force and conspiracy to commit robbery, each pleaded guilty to lesser misdemeanor charges of entering a building with the intent to cause damage and disorderly conduct. Crystal Lyn Fauver, Tiffany Scott Leslie, and Arthrea Phillips will each serve 90 days in jail. (Winchester Star)
  2. Handley Regional Library System has STEAM to Go! kits for families to do together. Now available at all three library branches, families can stop by to try out a few of the kits. While they come in a variety and are subject to availability, STEAM to GO! kits typically include a book related to the theme and several hands-on educational learning and play sets. Families can borrow for up to three weeks at a time. (Handley Regional Library System via Facebook)
  3. The Winchester Police Department had a swearing-in day on Sunday. The community is encouraged to welcome Officer Nick Campbell, who comes to our town as a certified officer from Fairfax County Sheriff’s Office. (Winchester Police Department via Facebook)
