8 Cars Destroyed, 3 Others Damaged In Fire At Woodbridge Apartment Complex
The fire marshal said the cause of a fire engulfing multiple vehicles in Woodbridge was "undetermined."
WOODBRIDGE, VA — Eight vehicles were destroyed and three more were damaged by a fire at a Woodbridge apartment complex Wednesday, according to Prince William County Fire and Rescue.
Around 3:43 a.m. Wednesday, units responded to the Summerland Heights Apartment complex in the 13600 block of Cridercrest Place for a report of cars on fire. Firefighters encountered a row of parked cars that had caught fire. The fire was quickly put out. No injuries were reported.
The fire marshal's office initially believed an electrical malfunction in a hybrid vehicle caused the fire but changed the cause to "undetermined." Leaking gas contributed to the extensive spread of the fire.
