Comcast service out at your house? Here's why:

From spokeswoman Aimee Metrick at Comcast:

It appears that a work crew that was installing guard rails along the road today inadvertently cut Comcast's fiber line, which caused customers in Prince William County to experience service issues.  Comcast technicians were immediately alerted to the issue through our internal monitoring systems and were promptly on scene to begin assessing the situation and repairing the damage to the fiber line.  We expect service to be restored for the majority of customers in the next few hours.  We apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused our customers.

For customers that still have outages on phone, Internet and TV call to report it to 1-800-COMCAST (1-800-266-2278).
