UPDATED: Fredericksburg man arrested in basement-window shooting Woodbridge (princewilliamtimes.com) — Police have arrested a Fredericksburg man in connection with a shooting that injured a 26-year-old visitor inside a Woodbridge home on John Diskin Circle last week. The victim was hit by gunfire through a basement window but survived, and the suspect now faces multiple felony charges while being held without bond at the regional detention center.

Eight displaced after accidental kitchen fire in Woodbridge home (potomaclocal.com) — Eight residents were displaced after a Sunday evening kitchen fire in a Woodbridge home on Gustus Drive, though working smoke detectors helped everyone get out safely. Prince William County Fire and Rescue says the accidental stove activation caused moderate damage, leaving the house unsafe to occupy, and the Red Cross is now helping the affected family.
