This years’ theme is “A Century of Black History Commemorations”. It’s about reflecting on how Black history has been remembered and taught over the last 100 years, honoring the activists, educators, and communities who fought to preserve Black stories recognizing progress while also acknowledging ongoing struggles for equality and encouraging future generations to continue documenting and celebrating Black history. In short, the theme celebrates 100 years of remembering, reclaiming, and uplifting Black history, while asking how those commemorations shape the present and future. Will you come join us? There will be song, spoken words and dance. Great food will be served in the fellowship hall after the benediction.
