Clean up the Community in May and June

Prince William County Department of Works offering cleanup dates

In the coming months, the county will be sponsoring five countywide cleanup events. In these cleanups, the county provides top-open trash containers and volunteers to help unload large items from cars to the dumpsters.

Accepted items include old furniture, small appliances or large items that cannot go in normal trash cans. Liquids and commercial waste cannot be accepted at the cleanup but can be disposed of at the , information is available by calling 703-792-5750.

  • Irongate Cleanups - Saturday, May 7, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dumpsters will be located near the pool across from Court 4 and on Community Drive between Court H & J.
  • Stonewall Manor Cleanup - Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dumpsters will be located behind the pool on Dondis Creek Ct.
  • Port Potomac Cleanup - Saturday, June 4, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Sudley/Westgate Cleanup - Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dumpsters will be located in the parking lot of Sudley Elementary School.
  • Rolling Brook Cleanup - Saturday, June 18, 2011 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Dumpsters will be located at the Second Heritage Mews Community Association visitor parking lot.
