  1. The Prince William County Department of Fire Rescue was one of several recipients of the 2022 Governor's Fire Service Awards announced by Gov. Glenn Youngkin last week. The county's department was recognized along with the Dumfires-Triangle Volunteer Fire Department and the Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton Volunteer Fire Department for its outstanding fire department response in relation to the January 2022 winter weather event. A 27-year-old man named David Emanuel Andrews has been arrested and charged with one count of robbery in connection with a bank robbery that occurred earlier this month at a Truist Bank in Woodbridge. Police identified Andrews as a suspect using forensic evidence found at the scene and arrested him on Thursday. Andrews could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted, and police officials executed a search warrant at his home to collect more evidence. (Woodbridge Patch)
