Delivery Man Robbed at Gunpoint

Two similar incidents occurred in the same area on Monday.

A 35-year-old Woodbridge man was on a delivery at the 1500 block of Indiana Avenue Monday when an unknown man displayed a handgun and demanded money.

Police said the man took an undisclosed amount of money from the delivery man before fleeing the area. No injuries were reported, and police responded around 9:25 p.m. 

Police are on the lookout for a black man, described as between 20 and 25, 5-foot-9, 160 pounds of thin build. The man was last seen wearing a red sweater, black pants and a black hat.

Later that same evening, police responded to the area of Wildlife Way and Indiana Avenue just after 10 p.m. for an attempted robbery.

A 26-year-old Woodbridge man reported that he was walking when three unknown men approached him and demanded money. When he tried to run away, one of the men grabbed him and assaulted him. The three men then fled the area; no items or money were reported missing.

The man sustained minor injuries and told police the men were in their late teens or early 20's.
