These 15 VA Hospitals Are Ranked Among Best For Maternity Care (patch.com) — Expecting parents in Woodbridge can take note that Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center in town is ranked among Virginia’s best hospitals for maternity care and also recognized for serving an at-risk community. U.S. News based its 2026 ratings on objective measures like C-section and complication rates, breastfeeding support, and access in areas that could become maternity care deserts.
   

2. Notice of Vanerbellen Estate (westrivereagle.com) — A Woodbridge resident, Emily Vanderbellen of Gorham Way, has been appointed personal representative for the estate of Nancy Vanderbellen in Ziebach County, South Dakota. Creditors have four months from first publication, or 60 days after receiving written notice, to file claims or risk having them barred. Claims may be filed with either the personal representative or the court clerk.
   

3. Volunteers at the Basilica pack and deliver more than 2,000 Christmas dinners (wjla.com) — A longtime Woodbridge resident, Tom Savage, is among the volunteers who spent Christmas morning at the Basilica in D.C. packing and delivering more than 2,000 turkey dinners across the region. The 50-year tradition focuses on seniors, families, and others in real need, turning Christmas Day into a chance for local residents to give back beyond presents and visits.
   

4. Obituary for Donald Ray Bingham, 90 (knoxky.com) — Family and friends in Woodbridge are among those mourning 90-year-old Donald Ray Bingham, whose granddaughter lives here. The longtime Kentucky educator, coach, and farmer is remembered for his love of basketball, the outdoors, and his strong faith, with funeral arrangements in Kentucky still pending.
