Driver Dies, Another Injured In I-95 Crash In Prince William County: State Police
A Fredericksburg driver has been charged in Tuesday afternoon fatal crash on Interstate 95, according to Virginia State Police.

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, VA — One person is dead in a crash on Interstate 95 in Prince William County Tuesday afternoon, Virginia State Police say.
The crash happened around 2:39 p.m. Tuesday on the southbound I-95 Express Lanes at the 151 mile marker, which is near the Route 234/Dumfries Road exit. According to state police, a 2020 Lexus SUV stopped on the right shoulder was struck by a 2022 Ford work truck that went off the interstate's right side. The SUV hit the guardrail, went back into the interstate lanes, and stopped in the direction of traffic.
The Lexus driver died at the scene, and a passenger was flown to Inova Fairfax Hospital with serious injuries. The driver was identified as Vernon S. Lee, II, 57, of Chester. The passenger is Shannon S. Lee, 25. Both were wearing seatbelts.

State police have charged the Ford F-250 driver, Jeremy S. Kubela, 43, of Fredericksburg, with reckless driving. He was not injured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
