Manslaughter Charge Results From Fatal Shooting At Woodbridge Commuter Lot

Prince William County Police charged a Vienna man in the fatal shooting during an altercation in a commuter lot.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A commuter lot in Woodbridge was the scene of a fatal shooting Saturday, leading to a manslaughter charge.

Prince William County Police had responded around 10:42 p.m. Saturday to the commuter lot located at 2250 Prince William Parkway in Woodbridge. Police found the victim in the parking lot with an upper body gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital and later died.

A police investigation found the suspect and victim were in an altercation. During a struggle for a gun, police say the victim had been shot. The suspect fled the scene.

A police K-9 and Fairfax County police helicopter searched the area but did not initially find the suspect. Fairfax County Police helped detectives located the suspect later that day at his residence in the Dunn Loring area of the county.

Christian Geiger, 22, of Vienna, was charged with involuntary manslaughter and was held without bond.

The victim was identified as Jeffery Kojo Owusu, 27, of no fixed address.

Police do not believe the incident was random.
