Hit-And-Run Crash Kills Pedestrian In Woodbridge: Police

Police say the pedestrian was found lying in the roadway after an apparent hit-and-run crash.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — A pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run crash in Woodbridge Thursday morning, according to Prince William County Police.

Police had responded around 6:09 a.m. Thursday to Cardinal Drive and Donald Curtis Drive after multiple callers reported a man lying in the road. Officers performed CPR on scene, and the man was taken to the hospital and later died.

The man was identified as Shedrick Eugene Gibson, 68, of no fixed address.

Police believe the man was crossing Cardinal Drive outside of a crosswalk and wearing dark clothing when he was hit. The striking vehicle did not remain on scene. Police do not have a vehicle description.
