Lake Ridge Townhouse Fire Causes No Injuries, Displaces 2

A neighbor alerted Prince William County and Rescue to a fire in an adjoining townhouse in Lake Ridge Wednesday.

LAKE RIDGE, VA — No one was injured when a fire occurred at an unoccupied townhouse in Lake Ridge Wednesday morning, Prince William County Fire and Rescue said.

Units had responded to the 4200 block of Devonwood Way around 9:25 a.m. Wednesday. A resident in a neighboring unit had smelled smoke in their home, leading firefighters to discover a fire in an adjoining unit. Units quickly put out the fire in the basement.

No one was home when the fire happened, and there were no firefighter injuries. The home had moderate damage from the fire and was deemed unsafe to occupy. Two residents were displaced and received assistance from the American Red Cross.
