Here are the top three stories in Woodbridge today:
- Tyler Alexander Sadoff, 20, has been arrested and charged with felony animal cruelty, among other charges, after allegedly throwing a woman's cat out of a window multiple times and assaulting her. The incident occurred in the Bayvue Apartments located in Woodbridge, and the victim's cat was found dead. Sadoff is accused of preventing the summoning of law enforcement and fleeing the scene, but he was later located and arrested. (FOX 5 DC)
- The most recent round of health department inspections in Woodbridge found several facilities with violations related to food contamination factors. Inspectors are returning to conduct in-person visits for restaurant and health inspections, but some visits can still be conducted virtually. For every violation observed, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the issue. (Woodbridge Patch)
- By the end of 2023, 12 Prince William County Public Schools (PWCPS) will have solar panels installed by Secure Solar Futures that will stand for the next 25 years. These solar panels will show students that the future is now and PWCPS is doing its duty in reducing its carbon footprint and providing clean energy. Secure Solar Futures is selling the energy to the schools at a reduced rate and also offering an educational program for high school students to learn more about climate change and clean energy.
