Man Tries To Ambush Acquaintance In Woodbridge: Police
A man was arrested after trying to rob an acquaintance at knife-point Monday in Woodbridge, according to Prince William County Police.

WOODBRIDGE, VA—A man was arrested after trying to rob an acquaintance at knife-point Monday afternoon in the 14000 block of Jefferson Davis Highway, according to Prince William County Police. William Jefferson Romero, 25, of the 1400 block of Harrison Street in Woodbridge, was charged with attempted robbery and was being held without bond.
Police found that the victim, a 60-year-old man, and Romero had been riding in a vehicle together and arrived at a business in the area. That's when Romero whipped out a knife and demanded money. When the man refused, Romero punched him in the face before unsuccessfully trying to take his wallet.
Romero fled on foot, and the victim reported the incident to police after returning home. Romero was found at his residence and arrested without incident.
