Men Arrested After Brazen Break-In Attempt In Woodbridge: Police

WOODBRIDGE, VA—Two men were arrested Saturday night after climbing onto a home's roof to try to break in and assault a resident in the 13200 block of Osage Drive, according to Prince William County Police.

(removed) was charged with attempted burglary, destruction of property and possession of marijuana. Taevon Johnson, 18, of the 13400 block of Photo Drive in Woodbridge, was charged with attempted burglary and possession of marijuana.

Shortly before 9:15 p.m., police responded to the aforementioned home for a burglary in progress. An 18-year-old resident said two acquaintances used a ladder to climb onto the roof and tried to break into a second-story window. He said their intentions were to assault him.

A neighbor saw the men, after which they jumped off the roof and onto a vehicle parked in the driveway. They fled in a vehicle, which was quickly spotted by police in the area of Dale Boulevard and Hillendale Drive. Police arrested them, and further investigation found that one of the men had been involved in a previous dispute with the victim.
