
At what point does Valentine’s Day get to be too much? Sunday night at 9:44 p.m. I received an email with a list of names from my daughter’s troop since they are meeting on Valentine’s Day.
I am not going out shopping for more Valentines on Valentine’s Day and addressing them all myself. I explained this to my daughter and made sure she agreed Monday morning so she wasn’t put in an uncomfortable position she didn’t understand when other people has Valentines to give and she didn’t.

We already made Valentines for her class and are baking cookies for the class celebration today, had a special Valentines dinner at home and a special Valentines dinner with a group of friends from church. Everyone has their own line they draw. Obviously for me, 9 p.m. on Valentine’s Day Eve is my line. However this doesn’t just go for Valentine’s Day.
We get last minute invites to parties, requests at school, and “uh oh mommy” moments when our daughter remembers something she needs. When do you say no, be it Valentine’s Day, birthdays, helping in the classroom, whatever? What is too much and what is too little time to prepare when it comes to your kids?
