Montclair Country Club Burglarized: Police
Prince William County Police are investigating a forced entry into a country club and other incidents in recent days.

MONTCLAIR, VA — A burglary at the Montclair Country Club and Golf Course is under investigation in the last days of 2024, according to Prince William County Police.
Police had responded to Montclair County Club and Golf Course at 16500 Edgewood Drive around 10:40 a.m. on New Year's Eve. The burglary was believed to occur between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. the night before on Monday.
According to police, the forced entry to the building happened through a vent that was pried open. The suspect also entered a pool house through an unsecured door. No property has been reported missing to police.

Aggravated Assault: On December 31 at 11:43AM, officers responded to the area of the Prince William Pkwy and Shoppers Best Way in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate an assault. The investigation revealed the victim, a 73-year-old woman, was assaulted by a man who struck her in the face before pushing her to the ground where she then hit her head. The parties separated. The victim was treated at an area hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Suspect Description: White male, 50s, approx. 6’1”, thin build, and short gray hair, last seen wearing a dark-colored clothing including a jacket and jeans

Commercial Burglary: On December 31 at 11:45AM, officers responded to ACE Deconstruction located at 13804 Dawson Beach Rd in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed forced entry was made onto the property and into several storage containers around 11:30PM on December 30. Cameras showed an unknown man wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and dark-colored pants cut a hole in an exterior fence. A power tool was reported missing. No further suspect description is available at this time.
Armed Robbery: On December 30 at 8:31PM, officers responded to Potomac Mills located at 2700 Potomac Mills Cl. in Woodbridge (22192) to investigate a robbery. The investigation revealed the victim, a 15-year-old male juvenile, arranged to sell shoes to an unknown individual via Snapchat at the above location. Before the exchange was completed, the buyer brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property. The buyer and five other unknown individuals, possibly juveniles, then took the victim’s shoes, jacket and money before leaving the parking lot. The victim also left the area and contacted the police. No injuries were reported. The suspects were described as a black male who brandished the firearm, four Hispanic males and one Hispanic female.
Residential Burglary: On December 30 at 10:09PM, officers responded to a residence located in the 3600 block of Eagle Ridge Dr. in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate a burglary. The investigation revealed sometime between 3:00AM and 9:00PM, forced entry was made into the home through a basement window that was found damaged. Jewelry was reported missing.
Death Investigation: On December 28 at 1:18AM, officers responded to the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) to investigate an unconscious man in the roadway. A passing motorist observed the man in the roadway and contacted emergency services. The 27-year-old man was transported to an area hospital where he later died. It is currently unknown if the man was struck by a vehicle or sustained injuries in a separate encounter. The cause of death is currently undetermined, pending an autopsy by the Medical Examiner’s Office. Anyone who may have witnessed this incident is asked to contact police. The investigation continues.

On December 30, following an autopsy of the unconscious 27-year-old man who was found in the roadway near the intersection of Dale Blvd and the I95 northbound ramp in Woodbridge (22191) on December 28, the injuries to the deceased were determined to be self-inflicted. The investigation revealed no indications the individual had been struck by a vehicle.
Shooting into a Residential Dwelling: On December 28 at 8:29PM, officers responded to the Broadstone at River Oaks Apartments located in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr in Dumfries (22026) to investigate a reckless handling. The investigation revealed an argument had occurred in front an apartment building between three individuals. During the encounter, shots were fired by one of the involved parties which struck a front glass window of a common area. The parties dispersed prior to officers arriving on scene. The armed suspect was only described as a black male wearing dark-colored clothing.
Assault & Battery: On December 18, the School Resource Officer (SRO) assigned to Rippon Middle School located at 15101 Blackburn Rd in Woodbridge (22191) began an investigation into an assault involving a teacher on a student that was reported to have occurred on December 3. The investigation revealed the victim, a 13-year-old male student, and the accused, a teacher at the school, were involved in a verbal altercation. During the encounter, the accused walked past the victim and swung her shoulder, striking the victim and causing him to fall backwards into a desk. No injuries were noted during the investigation. On December 27, following the investigation, the accused, identified as Gail Latasha Hill, was charged.
