Multiple Gunshots Incidents In 1 Day Reported In Woodbridge, Dumfries

Police responded to multiple shots fired reports on the same day, some of which involved damage to vehicles.

WOODBRIDGE, VA — On Wednesday, Prince William County Police responded to multiple gunshots or damage from gunshot reports around Woodbridge and Dumfries.

Two of the incidents were reported of damages from earlier gunshots, and two were active shots fired calls. The first call was around 11:58 p.m. in the 14700 block of Delta Ct. in Dale City. A resident reported damage to his vehicle in a parking lot that may have resulted from gunfire. Police did not have any reports of gunfire before the resident's report. There were no reported injuries.

Another report came around 1:13 p.m. in the 12800 block of Mill Brook Ct. in Lake Ridge. A resident reported damage to her parked vehicle that may have been from gunfire. The resident believed the incident happened between 8 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday. Police did not receive reports of gunfire prior to the resident's report. There were no reported injuries.

An active shots fired call came around 6:07 p.m. Wednesday in the 3100 block of Chesapeake Dr. in Dumfries. Police say a resident was walking to her home and heard gunshots in the area and witnessed two people shooting at each other. She described them as a man around 5 foot 7 and wearing a white T-shirt and a man wearing a black T-shirt and pants.

Both men fled before police arrived. Police found damage to one vehicle and shell casings. No injuries were reported.

Another shots fired call happened around 9:35 p.m. in the 15400 block of Ohio Ave. in Woodbridge. Police investigation determined a driver of a blue sedan fired multiple shots in the air before leaving the area. There were no reported injuries or property damage, but police located shell casings in the road.
