Threats to Bomb Freedom High School
On Friday, police responded to Freedom High School off of Neabsco Mills Drive in Woodbridge for a report of a student who threatened to bomb the school.
Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said an investigation revealed that a 17-year-old female student had threatened to blow up the school. She has since been detained and charged.

The teen is charged with threats to burn. Her court date is unavailable and she is being held at the juvenile detention facility.

A Lake Ridge woman and PWCS bus driver was charged on Friday after she allegedly assaulted two students while in her care.
Police said that an investigation revealed that Minnie Pearl McBride allegedly assaulted a 10 and 12-year-old boy while the bus was parked at Independent Hill School in Manassas. No injuries were reported.
McBride, 49, is charged with two counts of assault and battery. Her court date is unavailable.
