A police officer responded to Jefferson Davis Highway and Reddy Drive Wednesday evening to find a man passed out in a driver's seat of a car in the roadway, police said.
Prince William County police spokesperson Jonathan Merriman said the driver, Paolo Ramirez, of Woodbridge, "refused to comply with the officer’s attempts to determine his level of intoxication, attempted to flee from him by running across the highway and physically resisted when he was told he was under arrest."
Ramirez, 30, is now facing charges of assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, driving while intoxicated, refusal to submit to blood or breath analysis and driving on a suspended license.
