UPDATE: Police Identify Corpse; Burnt Corpse Found in Dumpster at Bayside Avenue
Report of a body found; police and fire crews on scene.
Update, April 23
Police have confirmed the identity of the burned corpse found in a dumpster off of Bayside Avenue near Bayvue Apartments in March as Erica Dawn Maynor, 25, known as "Kitty" or "Kit" of no fixed address.
The death is still being classified as a suspicious death as the investigation continues. The victim is known to frequent the Fairfax, Alexandria, Woodbridge and the Washington, D.C. areas. A family member told Patch Maynor was from Huntington, WV. Police are still asking for the public's help in providing more information about the victim. Anyone who may have had contact with the victim or had seen her around the time of her death or anyone with information about the victim, such as a last known address, is urged to contact police.

Prince William County Police spokesman Officer Jonathan Perok said that the corpse found in a dumpster Wednesday morning has been identified as a a female, unknown race, between 20 and 40 years of age, 5’2”-5’4” and is 120-140 pounds, with straight dark hair and possibly missing front left tooth.
The cause of death remains undetermined and the investigation is still a suspicious death investigation. Police are asking for the public's help in identifying the woman.
Police are also seeking a suspect, relating to the fire, who may have sustained burn injuries to their face, arms or other areas of the body or possibly singed hair.

Update 12:39 p.m.
The medical examiner has confirmed that a corpse is in the dumpster off of Bayside Avenue. Officer Perok said that neither gender nor age has been identified as the corpse is badly burnt. The investigation continues as a suspicious death and police do not yet suspect foul play.
The corpse has been removed from the dumpster, but police do not yet know how or why it was in the dumpster. The remains will be transferred to the Medical Examiner's Office for further analysis. Prince William County Fire Marshal's Office is also assisting in the investigation.

Update: 12 noon
At 9:50 a.m. Wednesday morning the fire department was called to a dumpster in the parking lot of a Bayvue Apartment complex off of Bayside Avenue behind Marumsco Plaza.
Police spokesperson Jonathan Perok said that the police department was called at 10:05 a.m. for the report of a body. Perok also said that the department is awaiting the Medical Examiner to confirm or deny that it is a body in the dumpster.
A portion of Bayside Avenue in front of the dumpster remains blocked to police activity. A fire engine is also on scene still, as it is a part of the crime scene.
