Police Investigate Fatal Shooting in Woodbridge

WOODBRIDGE, VA — Prince William County Police are investigating a fatal shooting early Monday in the 3000 block of Golansky Boulevard, near Smoketown Road.

The victim has been identified as Johnnie Pablito Kamara, 23, of Maryland, according to police.

Detectives were still investigating at the scene hours later, closing Golansky Boulevard from Smoketown Road to the Auto Spa entrance of Springwood Shopping Center.

No arrests have been made in the case.

Officers were first called to the scene at 2:20 a.m. Monday regarding the shooting. The victim had already been transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

This is Prince William County's tenth homicide of 2016.
