Police Issue Crime Alert for G Street & Gableridge Turn

Four burglaries/sexual assaults have taken place in this area since Jan. 30, 2011.

In light of recent burglaries and sexual assault in the G Street and areas of Woodbridge, police have issued a crime alert advising residents to lock doors.

Reported Suspect Descriptions:

  • Black male, 20-30 years-of-age, 5-foot-10, thin mustache
  • Black male, 25-30, 6-foot, 250 pounds
  • Black male, 30-40 years-of-age, 5-foot-9– 5-foot-11, 160 pounds, short black hair, brown eyes, small, neatly groomed mustache.

Possible Suspect Vehicle: Small silver sedan, possibly Volkswagen.

Safety Tips: 

  • Keep all doors and windows locked, even if at home. 
  • Keep your front and rear porch lights on, use motion sensors.
  • If you hear something, don’t investigate. Go to a safe room, call 9-1-1 and stay on the line. 
  • Be alert for suspicious persons or activity in the area.
  • Report all suspicious persons/activity to the police.
  • The suspect entered the homes and in some instances sexually assaulted the victim.  These incidents have occurred between midnight and 7 a.m. In some cases the suspect wore a mask.
