At 7:27 p.m., dopple radar indicated thunderstorms along a line extending two miles southeast of Laytonsville, MD to Chantilly, VA. "The thunderstorm will produce up to one inch of rain in a very short period of time," said NWS. "Which could likely cause significant ponding as well as rises on creeks and streams."
