DUMFRIES, VA—A man was arrested Wednesday after being spotted inside the same Walmart where he had been caught shoplifting before fleeing nearly a month earlier at 17041 Jefferson David Highway, according to Prince William County Police. Pierrevil Mondestin, 34, of the 3400 block of Dry Powder Circle, was charged with robbery and petit larceny.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 2, police went to the store for a reported larceny. They found that an unknown man had been seen shoplifting and was confronted by an employee as he attempted to leave. A struggle ensued, and he assaulted the employee before bolting from the store and leaving in a vehicle.

But Wednesday, the same worker—a loss prevention employee—saw Mondestin inside the store and immediately contacted police. Officers arrived, questioned him and arrested him without incident.
