Shuttle Bus for First Baptist Church Commuter Lot

Commuters that worry they won't be able to get back to their cars parked at the sparsely utilized commuter lot will have a shuttle bus option on May 2.

Potomac Rappahannock Transportation Commission will be providing "a late evening shuttle to commuters who need to travel from the Horner Road Commuter Lot to the new to access their vehicles."

I, Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi answered residents' questions, which were mostly focused on commuting and transportation improvements. One resident asked what improvements would be made to the First Baptist Church lot in order for more people to use it.

Principi said that he is encouraging vanpool riders to use that parking lot as their convening point before heading off into Washington, D.C.

According to PRTC, the shuttle will provide three later travel options by connecting the Horner Road Commuter Lot with the First Baptist Church lot. The parking lot is currently served by Rosslyn/Ballston OmniRide buses. 

The shuttle will be free for commuters transferring from an OmniRide bus; others will pay the local bus fare of $1.20.

A new slug line for Rosslyn and the Pentagon will also be established at the First Baptist Church lot on May 2 as well as a new 14^th Street slug line will be created at the I-95/Route 123 Commuter Lot.
