Supervisor Principi to Hold Second Town Hall

Woodbridge residents will be randomly dialed to participate in the phone call.

On Wednesday, April 13, Woodbridge District Supervisor Frank Principi will hold his second tele‐town hall to discuss the state of the Woodbridge district with his constituents.

The Supervisor would like to have a dialogue to find out what pressing issues are on the minds of his constituents so they can give him guidance as adoption of the budget and redistricting loom.

Supervisor Principi is the first member of the Prince William County Board of Supervisors to use this technology. At 7 pm on Wednesday night, the system will dial out to ten thousand residents across the Woodbridge district asking them if they would like to join the live tele‐town hall. Once connected, residents will be able to hear the ongoing discussion. If a constituent would like to ask a question for the Supervisor to answer, he or she will be added to the queue. Constituents will also be able to supply their contact information to be placed if they would like to continue to receive news and information about the District.

“It is an exciting time for the Woodbridge Magisterial District. We have so much going on with the Smart Growth Symposium that I am hosting on April 14, the adoption of the redistricting lines on April 18, and the adoption of the budget on April 26. We have also been making headway on the Commuter Ferry and hope to have a market analysis conducted this fall. I urge everyone to participate and ask questions. I want to hear from as many people as possible on Wednesday night,ʺ said Supervisor Principi.

The first tele‐town hall was held back in January and was a smashing success. Nearly 1,000 residents participated in the event which lasted about 45 minutes. After the event, Supervisor Principi vowed to hold these tele‐town halls quarterly to and hold a continuous dialogue and to keep the residents of Woodbridge engaged in the community.
