Three Sought in Bayside Avenue Armed Robbery

Police are seeking three suspects who reportedly broke into a known acquaintance's home and stole a safe early Wednesday morning.

Prince William County Police responded to a reported robbery at the 1300 block of Bayside Avenue in Woodbridge early Wednesday morning.

The victim, a 30-year-old Woodbridge man, had reportedly called a known acquaintance to his residence to help him get gas, according to police. Upon his arrival at the residence, the acquaintance and two additional masked suspects reportedly used force to enter the home. The known acquaintance displayed what was believed to be a handgun. One of the masked suspects displayed a machete and the other displayed a bat.

The three reportedly took a safe belonging to the victim and fled the residence on foot. A police K-9 was used to search for the suspects. No injuries were reported.

The incident, which police say was not random, occurred Wednesday, Sept. 3 at 2:47 a.m.

  • A 28- to 32-year-old Hispanic male standing at 5’7” and 140 lbs. with a medium build and short, curly black hair. Last seen wearing a green jacket and blue jeans.
  • A black male of unknown age standing at 6’3” with a medium build. Last seen wearing a black ski mask.
  • A Hispanic male of unknown age standing between 5’3” and 5’5” and 110 to 125 lbs. Last seen wearing a black ski mask, a green and black hat and a white shirt.
