Tuition To Rise at Virginia Community Colleges

Cost going up nearly $10 a credit hour.

It will cost more to attend Virginia community colleges next year.

The State Board of Community Colleges set new rates last week. Students will pay $9.50 more per credit hour. The board also increased the tuition differential for , which has a campus in Manassas, by $2.80, to $17.15 per credit hour.

 Tuition would have been higher without more than $9 million in additional state funding for the 23-school system in this year's budget.
