- Two people were killed in a Friday shooting and stabbing incident in a Fairfax County home. A woman was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries from a stabbing and later succumbed to her injuries. A man was found fatally shot on the scene. The two other adult residents of the home, as well as a four-year-old child who lived there, have been "accounted for" without reported injuries. (NBC4 Washington)
- David Emanuel Andrews was charged and arrested Thursday in connection with a bank robbery that occurred at the Truist Bank on River Ridge Boulevard in Woodbridge. The robbery occurred Feb. 9 around 9 a.m. when a man walked into the bank and handed the teller a note demanding money. After the teller handed over the money, the robber ran out of the bank towards Richmond Highway, avoiding the pursuit of a helicopter and a police K-9. Andrews was identified based on forensic evidence at the scene, as well as additional evidence from his home. (Woodbridge Patch)
- A Woodbridge girl was arrested and charged Thursday after making threats towards Lake Ridge Middle School through Snapchat. Police were called Wednesday to investigate the case as a student at Lake Ridge received these messages via Snapchat; the threats were determined to be not credible and no injuries were reported. The 12-year-old girl was charged with threats of death or bodily injuries and is currently being held at the juvenile detention center. (FOX 5 DC)
