Vigil Planned to Honor Fallen Police Officers

Come support your local law enforcement.

The Prince William County Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (CPAAA) cordially invites the public to attend a Memorial and Tribute Service, including a candlelight vigil, for fallen law enforcement officers who lived, or served, in greater Prince William County.

The event is Tuesday, May 10, at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of the Dr. A.J. Ferlazzo Building, 15491 Cardinal Drive, Woodbridge, VA 22191. The event honors the lives and service of 14 men who were killed in the line of duty from Virginia State Police Trooper Jackie M. Bussard in May 1970 through last October’s death of Officer Paul Michael Dittamo of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C.

Light refreshments will be served at 6:30 p.m. and again after the event concludes.
